Have I convinced you yet Brother?

How/Why I Did It:

Taken in Hyde park ‘Speakers Corner’, where a number of characters were doing their thing. This was a classic of – ‘what are you talking about?’ moment luckily captured when I was there, converted to B&W using Topaz with a little vignette on a bland sky to focus on the characters.
Comments
Keith Smith An excellent piece of street photography. Lovely facial expressions of the two characters but I would have liked the background figures and the tree to have been a little less in focus.
Guy Davies There is a wonderful sense of communication between these two characters.  The one on the left comes over as persuasive, even wheedling, whereas the expression on the other chap’s face shows distrust to the point of antagonism.  This is complemented beautifully by the hands of the one on the left, and the unseen hands of the other chap, firmly planted in his pockets.  I think the picture could have just a little more contrast, and I think that the vignetting is a bit too heavy at the left.  Making it mono was a good idea as it has removed any distraction from colour.
Carol Hudson Interesting interaction between these 2 men. You have caught the intensity very well. I like their clothes especially the hat! The hands are interesting as well and they are a key part of the interaction. Black and white suits it well.  I do find the tree rather distracting as it appears to grow out the man's shoulder and the figures in the distance. I wondered whether some selective blurring would help to focus on the 2 men.
Barbara Dumphy You seem to be very keen on black and white shots at the moment! I liked the composition - The character on the left trying to convince the sceptic on the right of his way of thinking. I think I would have liked to see the characters a little bit closer together for this shot to work better but the facial expressions are well caught.
